Scouting
The Extancy League scouting layer exists to answer a practical question: where is football being played well right now, and who is playing it? Instead of relying on recommendations or highlight reels, scouts and analysts search a structured record created by confirmed matches.
Visibility is consent-based. A player decides how discoverable their profile is, and scouting contact happens through managed requests inside the platform rather than through exposed personal details.
Player records
A scouting record brings together the player's identity in the ecosystem and the football activity behind it: display name, username, location, current team, verified match summary (matches, goals, assists), disciplinary entries, available media and the date of the player's most recent activity.
Records also show their origin. A profile that has been verified inside the platform is marked as verified, while details supplied by the player themselves are marked as user-provided. That labelling lets a scout separate confirmed performance from self-description.
Search
Scouting search combines free-text search with football filters and several sort orders, so a scout can move from a broad question (“who is active in this region?”) to a specific one (“who has played at least ten verified matches with recent goals?”).

Discovery tools
When a scout identifies a player worth following, the platform provides private watchlists so that the player can be tracked over time, and private notes so that observations stay with the scout's own account. Watchlist capacity and note capacity depend on the membership plan.
Contact is handled through scouting contact requests with daily and pending limits, which keeps the channel deliberate rather than intrusive. Scouting requests are visible to the scout and the player involved, and the player decides whether an approach goes further.
Consent
Player profiles are discoverable according to the player's own profile and consent settings, and media appears on a scouting profile only when the player allows it. This means the scouting layer reflects a decision by the player rather than an automatic exposure of their activity.
The player side of this model is described on the players page, and the rules that prevent misuse of the platform are set out in the community integrity policy.
Honesty
Extancy League does not sell scouting outcomes, trials or contracts, and it does not guarantee that a player will be contacted or recruited. The scouting layer provides structured, consent-based information and a managed way to make contact. Decisions about players remain with scouts, clubs and academies.
Scouting search, watchlists and contact requests are part of the signed-in application for participants with scouting access. Reading how the record is produced is the best preparation for using it well.
Player search results, watchlists, private notes and scouting contact requests require a signed-in account with the appropriate access. This page describes the model without exposing any player data.
