Match officials
A league table is only as good as the matches behind it. On Extancy League, referees and assistant referees are participants in their own right: they are invited to fixtures, they confirm what happened, and their confirmation is what allows a result to count towards standings, player statistics and qualification.
Without officials, community football produces memories. With officials inside a structured platform, it produces documentation that players, teams, scouts and sponsors can all rely on.
Roles
Officiating on Extancy League is organised around two platform roles — referee and assistant referee — and two match slots: the main referee slot and the assistant referee slot. A referee takes the main slot. An assistant referee supports the match from the assistant slot, and an assistant cannot be placed in the main referee slot.
That separation exists so that the responsibility for confirming a result is always held by a participant whose role matches the slot. It keeps the confirmation meaningful for everyone relying on it.
Assignments
Verification
When a match is played and confirmed by its officials, the outcome moves through the ecosystem: the regional league table updates, qualification progress is recalculated, player statistics are credited, and any tournament structure the fixture belongs to is advanced. All of that originates from the same confirmed match record.
This is why officiating matters beyond the fixture itself. Verified results are the input for the league standings, and the reason a scouting profile can show verified matches rather than reported totals.
Participation

Step 2
Officiating is a role, not a purchase. It is never granted by a membership plan, and it is not affected by subscription level. The responsibilities attached to a role are described in the community integrity policy, which also explains what happens when participation is not honest.
Ecosystem
Extancy League treats the referee as a participant with a record, not as an external service. Officials who confirm matches consistently are part of the reason clubs, competitions and sponsors can trust the data they see. The same reading applies to teams and players: the platform is only as credible as the people who take part in it.
If you already referee or assist at community level, joining the ecosystem gives that work a documented place inside the league structure. Registration begins with role selection and Starter League onboarding.
